This document is provided in English.
This policy explains what personal data DeepInterview collects when you use the hosted service at https://deepinterview.today, why we collect it, who processes it, and the choices you have. It does not cover self-hosted copies of the open-source project, which are run by whoever hosts them.
1. Who we are
DeepInterview (https://deepinterview.today) is an AI interview-practice service operated by Pham Van Ngoan (“we”, “us”). We decide how and why your personal data is processed, which makes us the data controller. Questions about this policy: privacy@deepinterview.today.
2. What we collect
We collect only what the service needs to work:
- Account data: your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider). If you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from that provider.
- Interview inputs: the CV you upload or paste, the job description, the company and role you are practising for, and your interview settings (format, length, language, interviewer persona).
- Interview content: the text transcript of your voice or typed answers, the questions asked, the interview plan, company research, your scorecard and report, and your conversations with the study coach.
- Billing data: your plan, interview usage, credits and subscription status. Card and payment details are collected and held by Paddle, not by us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and request logs that our hosting and security systems record to keep the service running and to stop abuse.
Voice audio. During a voice interview your microphone audio is streamed in real time to our speech providers so the interviewer can hear and answer you. We do not record or store the audio itself; we keep the text transcript.
3. How we use it, and our legal bases
- To provide the service (performance of our contract with you): preparing tailored questions from your CV and the job, running the live interview, scoring it, writing your report and powering the study coach.
- To run your account and billing (contract): sign-in, enforcing plan limits, processing purchases through Paddle, sending account emails such as sign-up confirmations.
- To keep the service safe (legitimate interests): rate limiting, fraud and abuse prevention, security monitoring and debugging.
- To meet legal obligations: tax, accounting and responding to lawful requests.
4. AI processing
DeepInterview uses third-party AI models to generate questions, act as the interviewer, convert speech to and from text, and evaluate your answers. To do that, the relevant parts of your CV, job description, answers and transcript are sent to those providers through their APIs.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your CV, answers, transcripts or reports to train AI models. AI output can be wrong or incomplete; your report is practice feedback, not a hiring decision.
5. Who processes your data
We use these service providers (processors) to run DeepInterview. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.

6. Where your data is stored
Our servers and database are in Singapore. Some providers above process data in other countries, including the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom. Where data leaves your country, we rely on the providers’ contractual and security commitments (such as standard contractual clauses where applicable) to protect it.
7. How long we keep it
- Account data and your interviews are kept while your account is open, so you can return to past reports.
- When you delete your account, we delete your profile, interviews, transcripts, reports and uploaded CVs within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (for example invoices, which Paddle and we keep for tax purposes).
- Server and security logs are kept for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) unless needed to investigate abuse.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU or UK GDPR, or Vietnam’s Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection), you can ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you, and get a copy in a portable format;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your account and data;
- restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where we rely on it.
Email privacy@deepinterview.today from the address on your account. We answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting and database providers. Access to production systems is limited to the operator, internal services are not reachable from the internet, and the database enforces per-user access rules. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Age limit
DeepInterview is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. For material changes we will also notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
